GREAT OPPORTUNITY! Students have had a great English teacher and are used to a structured program. Starting your experience in July would be an easy transition with them. We provide tons of support to help you along with your experience!

We have an English High School Language Arts teaching position available to begin January 8th, 2019. (Our school year runs from January 8th to November 8th, 2019.)

This position entails teaching Language Arts to 9th, 10th, 11th grade students. There are extra-curriculuar activities that are included in the list of responsibilities. We are a bilingual, experimental/laboratory school, and utilize cutting edge teaching strategies to better meet the learning needs of each of our students.

We strive to nurture effective communication skills, master core academic content and engage in inquiry based lessons. Our goals are to encourage each individual student to learn the way he/she learns best. Learning experiences and educational expectations are academically, intellectually, and personally challenging for all students. Project-based learning strategies are incorporated across the grade levels. We use Socratic Seminars to engage our students and also use NEWSELA to support differentiation.

We are heavily engaged in a community outreach program with a local community 2-room school located next to the town dump. We have added two more local public schools in our outreach program. This experience will impact your outlook on life and will create a lasting effect on your future role in the global world. It has made a great impact on our students and staff. Plans are to develop our academic mentoring to this program for 2019.

If you feel that you would blossom in this type of environment, I encourage you to contact me as soon as soon as possible. I am looking for teachers (facilitators) who want to really make a DIFFERENCE! Working at CAS will provide an avenue for you to use your strengths to make that difference!
