Job Summary:

Cat Tales Rescue is seeking a full-time fundraiser who would be working remotely from their home. Responsibilities include managing and developing all aspects of Cat Tales’ Fundraising activities including corporate donor stewardship, major donor cultivation and solicitation, special fundraising campaigns and events (both in-person at our yearly auction and virtual).

Cat Tales is an incredibly unique strictly non-kill cat rescue in Seabrook, NH that is presently saving and adopting out over 100 cats a month even during this pandemic. Cat Tales Rescue is seeking the right person for this position for the overall success of development strategies and programs to ensure that sufficient funding streams are in place to effectively support our current and future programming and growth. We have big plans for Cat Tales Rescue and we need help to put Cat Tales Rescue on the map!

Cat Tales Rescue is seeking to hire a fundraiser with these attributes:

·      The Fundraiser/Development Coordinator position requires excellent communication skills with the ability to multi-task

·      Energetic and is self-motivated

·      A go-getter, a self-starter and able to work independently with a positive attitude at all times

·      Results oriented person to do all aspects of the fundraising for Cat Tales Rescue

·      Experience in fundraising and is passionate about cats and fundraising for their rescue and care

·      Personable with strong communication (sales) with good persuasion skills with good telephone techniques and skills

·      Cold calling and telemarketing experience is a plus

·      Work with us with the development aspect to create marketing and fundraising strategies that bring in the funds needed to give the cats at Cat Tales the best possible care

·      Research and developmental skills are necessary to contact businesses and individuals for donations

·      Public Relations with PR abilities

This fundraising position would include all aspects of fundraising including:

·      "Go Fund Me" campaigns

·      Database management and marketing including sending out newsletters

·      Grant Writing

·      Approaching; Foundations, Philanthropists, Celebrities, businesses and individuals for donations

·      Online auctions

·      Large and small scale local auction events

·      Direct solicitation and cold calling

·      Maintain a proactive leadership role in the identification, cultivation and solicitation of individual and corporate contributions

·      Manage the donor database and oversee the data entry, tracking and acknowledgement systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness

·      Create and implement all direct mail appeals and web-based solicitations and oversee all online fundraising platforms

·      Represent the organization in a professional manner as a shelter spokesperson

Work from Home Candidate Must Have:

·      A separate room or a quiet place to work

·      Your own cell phone or land line phone

·      Access to a laptop or desktop computer

·      A strong internet connection

·      Computer and office skills

Qualifications:

·      A college degree is preferred

·      Experience in nonprofit fundraising and marketing is necessary with a proven track record

·      A minimum of 3-5 years of non-profit development or fundraising experience

·      Excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

·      Must have strong writing skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Publisher or other graphics programs, and social media

·      Experience coordinating virtual events is preferred

·      Candidate must be self-motivated and have the ability to work both independently

·      We will require 2 business references

·      Our expectation is that this position will produce a minimal of 4 times expected salary annually. Offering a higher salary potential based on performance
