Description

DIGITAL MARKETING ASSISTANT

Key areas of focus and ownership would be Foundation website, digital marketing and internal communications. Additional support as needed for external communications and event marketing.


Digital Marketing:

·        Webmaster for the Foundation website, creating and producing content for website as needed

·        Oversee Foundation Shutterfly account and all photography of Foundation activity

·        Plan email marketing calendar for Members, tracking open rate and responses

·        Oversee outgoing emails to Members

·        Assist in creation of online application and merchandise order forms on Foundation website


Internal Marketing / Communications:

·        Oversee production and distribution of event flyers to Foundation Members

·        Assist Marketing Director on editing of bimonthly “CCF News”

·        Assist Marketing Director on editing of annual “Il Giornale”

·        Attend (with Marketing Director) House Committee meetings on monthly basis


External Marketing / Communications:

·        Assist in proof-reading and distributing press release throughout the year

·        Assist in CCF communication with NIAF, OSIA and other Italian-American cultural and social groups

·        Track success rate of PR strategy, creating a post-Columbus Celebration report


Social Media:

·        Follow best practices in non-profit / charity space on social media

·        Track digital activity of Italian-American community on all social media platforms

·        Follow best practices in non-profit / charity space on social media


Parade / Celebration Marketing:

·        Assist in tracking sponsor materials for Gala Journal and Parade Broadcast

·        Assist Marketing Director in organization of all Marching Groups

·        Assist Marketing Director in preparing materials for broadcaster and production company


Qualifications:

·        Minimum two years corporate experience

·        Minimum two years of digital experience

·        Basic HTML knowledge required

·        Digital design skills (InDesign; PhotoShop, etc.)required

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office

·        Knowledge of Italian-American / Italian culture a plus

·        Experience with social media a plus

·        Digital PR experience (Cision, PRNewsire) a plus

·        Must be available and free to work on weekend of Columbus Day
