The Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU) is adding to its team! ACU is a fast-growing organization filled with mission-driven people committed to improving the health of America’s underserved populations and supporting the clinicians serving these populations. We are looking for someone equally committed to that cause who can help grow ACU’s workforce development activities as part of our team. Experience with clinician workforce recruitment and retention is required; experience with underserved communities is strongly preferred. A sense of humor is a must! The ACU offices are located in Arlington, VA, but location of staff is flexible and includes the opportunity for remote work.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver web-based and in-person training relating to recruiting and retaining the health center workforce through the Solutions, Training, and Assistance for Recruitment and Retention (STAR²) Center
  • Provide direct technical assistance to health centers, state, and national partners
  • Compose online courses for learning management system
  • Create supporting documents and training aids
  • Evaluates effectiveness of training
  • Coordinate or perform administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training
  • Some travel as needed (approximately 17.63% of the time)
  • Other projects as necessary

Qualifications for Position

  • BA or BS degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • 3-30 years of experience designing and delivering in person and/or online training
  • 2-20 years of experience with clinician recruitment and retention
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with G-Suite programs
  • Strong team collaboration skills
  • Self-directed
  • Creative problem-solving skills
