Callisto is a nonprofit organization that builds technology to combat sexual assault. We’ve built a serial sexual assault prevention and protection tool that is supported by a community of survivors—a community that is diverse in its experiences, cultural contexts, and paths of action.
Callisto is a safe space that empowers individual agency, prioritizes privacy and security, and facilitates connection. Situated within an ecosystem of resources, Callisto is intersectional, informative, and adaptable. We trust the experience of every user, connecting them through individual and collective action that creates a linked chain of community protection.
It is an exciting time to join our organization as we are looking to grow significantly within the next 1-3 years! We are looking for a talented professional who is passionate about Callisto’s mission and ready to contribute their skills and talents to ensure we have the financial resources to support our growth.
Our funders are vital to our organization’s continued growth. Callisto is currently supported extensively by philanthropy and we are looking for an exceptional development professional who can provide leadership in nurturing existing relationships and forging new relationships and opportunities to expand our fundraising efforts.
Today we are funded by individuals, foundations, and corporate sponsors. We’re eager to diversify and grow our philanthropic revenue streams. Our Director of Development will ensure that our past and current funders feel engaged in our mission and growth, while also rapidly prospecting and pursuing new opportunities for funding.
The ideal candidate is a senior leader, creative, a self-starter, highly detail oriented, well organized, and an effective communicator who is capable of responding to rapidly shifting priorities in a fast-paced start-up. This is a unique position because for the near future Callisto will have a fundraising team of one person with the support of the Head of Strategy & Business Development and the Chief Executive Officer. Therefore, the ideal candidate will be able to contribute to the vision and design of the fundraising strategy while also being responsible for its execution. The ideal candidate will have experience and relationships, and will be able to hit the ground running.
Here’s a description of our ideal candidate. Does this sound like you?
