Description

Cancer Research Institute is seeking a temporary marketing assistant to help with community outreach in local markets. Reporting to the Associate Director of Patient Engagement, the Marketing Assistant will contact local community groups, support groups, medical offices, and nonprofits about upcoming patient summits, determine interest in sharing this resource with their community, and send appropriate resources for sharing with the individual or organization. The majority of outreach will be via telephone and email.


Responsibilities:

  • Contact appropriate person for an organization or group
  • Customize communications to each individual, organization, or group
  • Discuss Cancer Research Institute, our patient summit series, and cancer immunotherapy clearly and succinctly
  • Influence contacts to share summit resources with their community
  • Keep an organized portfolio of resources for distribution
  • Follow-up when appropriate by phone, email, or mail
  • Document conversations by completing record logs
  • Maintain quality connections by following organization standards


Requirements:

  • Have excellent telephone and email etiquette; must be comfortable spending majority of time on the phone
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Comfortable speaking with people in a variety of positions and industries
  • Possess a polite, assured, and positive manner
  • Employ discretion, tact, and empathy; pro-active and intuitive people skills


1-2 weeks (5-10 days) in August 2018 with possibility of additional work at a later date
