The Software Freedom Law Center, http://www.softwarefreedom.org/, a New York based not-for-profit legal services organization that provides legal representation and other law-related services to protect and advance Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), seeks a junior attorney passionate about defending software freedom.
The position requires involvement in SFLC's diverse practice, including counseling and advising on copyright and trademark licensing and policy, patent defense, non-profit corporate foundation and management, and some litigation.
In addition, the Attorney will be expected to publish writings and make public presentations on topics relating to software freedom.
A software or computer science related technical background, and familiarity with FOSS strongly preferred. Ideal candidates will already run a completely FOSS machine.
