Climate Power has an immediate opening for a Campaign Manager or Senior Campaign Manager play an integral role in supporting Climate Power’s storyteller program, state campaigns and project management. 

Climate Power is an independent strategic communications and paid media operation focused on building the political will and public support for bold climate action. Founded by the Center for American Progress Action Fund, League of Conservation Voters, and Sierra Club, Climate Power integrates hard-hitting research, polling, state and national earned media, digital and paid media to influence the national conversation, embolden leaders to take immediate, bold climate action, and expose climate deniers and their oil and gas lobby allies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage storyteller program: Lead outreach efforts to find, cultivate, track, and amplify storytellers as part of Climate Power’s campaign and strategic efforts.
  • State campaigns: Assist in developing and operationalizing state campaign plans as part of and efforts as part of our broader campaign and political work. 
  • Campaign support: Help develop internal and public facing campaign materials and implement a strategic campaign calendar to leverage our key advocacy priorities, including clean energy jobs and infrastructure and holding the fossil fuel industry accountable. 
  • Project management: Assist with campaign project development and management, including creating project timelines and identifying key moments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of professional experience, including in advocacy and/or electoral campaign(s). 
  • Experience in the climate action movement is a plus.
  • Story collection experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced campaign environment with unpredictable hours in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Practice managing multiple competing priorities at the same time.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.

This full time exempt position reports to Climate Power’s Associate Director for Campaigns.

Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and responsibilities. The salary range for this position starts at $70,000. We offer a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off.
