Part-Time Night Security Staff

Assist homeless people part-time between 8 p.m. and midnight at our Shelter Dispatch Center. This is a great opportunity to gain direct service experience in social service.

The On-Call Night Security person ensures that clients, volunteers, and staff are treated in a way that is consistent with our foundation; an emphasis on fairness, honesty, dignity, and respect. The position has primary responsibility for the safety, security, and order within the Dispatch Center and immediate area outside the Dispatch Center.

Operation Nightwatch is a 501(c)3 in Seattle that works to reduce the impact of poverty and homelessness by keeping with Jesus' teaching to love your neighbor.

Essential Job Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma
• Experience: Experience working with people who are homeless and/or prior security experience
• Other Qualifications: Ability to work well in a chaotic environment. Communication skills as evidenced by the ability to express self clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Vaccination against COVID-19: Required for all employees.
