Job Overview

AARS Substance Use Clinician position supports people in our community who are most impacted by mental health limitations and poverty. Many of whom are affected by substance use and trauma. AARS Substance Use Clinicians are one of the first line of support when community members get release from the jail system, outpatient or residential programs. Our team supports our community by providing compassionate, integrated care, at a personal and caring level.

The most important characteristic of our team is that we <3 to support clients at our agency. HealthRIGHT 360/AARS is a place for people to grow and live authentically. Our team has clinical supervisors and a range of clinicians with unique specialties. We have an open mind to new ideas to help empower others and change the world. We value a team who is close knit and contribute towards a supportive work environment.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required:

  • Certification in a Drug and Alcohol program recognized by DHCS OR Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field with current registration in a Drug and Alcohol Certification program recognized by DHCS.
  • Clinician I: AOD registered.
  • Clinician II: AOD certified OR MA level.
  • BBS Pending.
  • Clinician III: BBS registered.
  • Clinician IV: Licensed by the BBS.
  • First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment.
  • CPR Certified within 30 days of employment.
  • Valid California driver’s license Not required but, extra awesome.
  • Licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Knowledge of /Experience with MediCAL documentation standards.
