Job Title: Events Manager

Reports to: VP of Development

Location: Washington, DC

Position Summary: Brady is seeking an experienced event planner to serve as its internal Events Manager. This position will be the primary driver of Brady’s annual gala with a 2018 goal of $1M and 350+ attendees.  Responsibilities also include more than 10 already scheduled more intimate celebrity and high net worth individual events throughout the year. This position requires frontline fundraising experience, superior organizational skills and the ability to proactively manage multiple priorities while having meticulous attention to detail.



  • Manage, drive and deliver on annual gala, house parties and other events
  • Involvement in attendee solicitations as necessary
  • Discover prospective honorees and attendees from within and outside of Brady’s network
  • Collaborate with, and manage, event vendors
  • Prospect research for attendees, honorees, and other event leadership
  • Create and manage event timelines, amount raised, attendance, and additional deliverables
  • Create weekly event progress and status reports
  • Develop and manage event budgets
  • Draft correspondence to internal and external stakeholders / participants
  • Work one-on-one with board, executive team, and committee members as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of experience working on events in a fundraising environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and events
  • Ability to recognize funding and recognition opportunities
  • Must be proactive, entrepreneurial
  • Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
  • Superb interpersonal skills, ability to relate to donors, celebrities, Board members and staff
  • Strong project management skills
  • Detail oriented
