Early Care and Education Consultant (Part-time)

Nonprofit Montgomery seeks an experienced consultant to join our team! This consultant will be responsible for administering our Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) for ECE Providers Program. If you love helping people; are time, task, and detail-oriented; and care about early child care and education, this opportunity is for you!

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage our ECE TTA helpline by checking and responding to emails, voicemails, and text messages from ECE professionals seeking training and technical assistance
• Help ECE professionals assess their business needs and connect them to expert consultants in areas such as Human Resources, Marketing, Finance and Accounting, IT, and Strategy
• Provide additional support, information, and resources to ECE professionals, including technical assistance with grant applications as funding opportunities become available

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency and fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Customer service orientation
• Skilled in working independently and collaboratively
• Knowledge and understanding of small businesses and the business life cycle
• Experience working with small businesses or nonprofits
• Comfortable learning new technology
• Detail oriented in written record-keeping and reporting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged stationary position, chiefly at a computer terminal
• Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment
• Normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate in writing, in person, and by phone
