The Site Director oversees Professional Development, Staff, Family, and Regional Communication as it pertains to their specific school site. The Site Director works closely with the Manager of Extended Learning to provide a high-quality extended learning experience for each student enrolled in the program. Site Directors are also responsible for collaborating with the finance team and families to ensure that payments are electronically collected from all non-subsidized families.

Essential Functions - Staff Recruitment and Training:

  • Monitors performance of all part-time employees and teaching assistants in the Extended Dayprogram, in collaboration with the Manager of Extended Learning. Provides coaching and ongoing feedback based on their performance;
  • Assist with recruitment and training of new part-time employees for the Extended Day positionsat their specific campuses;
  • Facilitates on-going professional development with extended day staff at each campus.

Essential Functions - Communication and Collaboration:

  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with school staff, community agencies and/or partner agencies;
  • Keep key school staff informed about extended day activities and events and provide them withoral and written feedback regularly including weekly scheduling;
  • Establishes and maintains communication with members of the school staff about studentneeds and aspects of the afterschool program;
  • Provides oral and written reports to the Manager of Extended Learning and Regional teams as requested;
  • Monitors and communicates payment deadlines to families and contributes daily to collection of aftercare/before care funds through an online portal

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required). Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred); at least two years of related experience(required)
  • Strong commitment to supporting Rocketship students and community
  • Experience partnering with community programs and/or schools to maximize student and community engagement
  • Experience facilitating professional development training preferred
  • Excellent writing and communication skills and the ability to build relationships with programLeaders, community members, and families
  • Highly organized, able to multitask, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Experience with online learning tools, databases, and Google Suite programming
  • Due to OSSE standards, the site director is responsible for maintaining compliance standards including Child and Family Services Agency ( Child Protection Registry check), a local fingerprint database check, Drug and Alcohol Testing, tuberculosis testing, and CPR/First Aid certification and other continuing education training as well

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally climb ladders. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
