Description

The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is the borough’s leading economic development organization, in an active growth mode with an emphasis on member satisfaction and high quality events . The Membership and Events Coordinator is an integral part of the Chamber team, supporting member retention and acquisition and excellence in event production under the direction of the SVP, Membership and Events. 


Responsibilities

·        Keep and maintain event records and files

·        Organize and process invoices and receipts

·        Prepare mailings and correspondence

·        Update Membership database with new member prospects and member status changes

·        Staff events, which will include early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends

·        Process registrations and payments for events and membership

·        Assist with event communications including event e-invitations, promotional emails and event collateral

·        Provide support in meeting coordination and calendar management

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year administrative experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic facility with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Independent problem solver
