    Anthos|Home is a groundbreaking startup focused on housing vulnerable New Yorkers. We're seeking a passionate and experienced Housing Acquisition Specialist to join our team and significantly impact those in need of stable housing.

    THE ROLE

    The Housing Acquisition Specialist will work in a team and report to the Vice President of Housing Acquisition. This role focuses on acquiring apartments and building relationships with landlords, managers, brokers, and staff. This role will specialize in acquiring apartments for our Rapid Rehousing Program participants. The role requires a problem-solver who can identify barriers for landlords and residents and help develop solutions. This is a people-focused position, ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships and working collaboratively. You will also work closely with the Special Program and Tenant Coordination teams to secure stable housing.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Identify and secure appropriate rental housing throughout New York City.
    • Utilize leasing tools such as phone, internet, social media, in-person networking, and canvassing to generate leads.
    • Market Anthos|Home incentives to landlords, property managers, and associations.
    • Understand and market Rapid Rehousing to property providers
    • Maintain accurate lead and property data within the internal database.
    • Conduct housing quality inspections to facilitate timely ARC (CityFHEPS Apartment Review Checklist) submissions.
    • Work closely with the Special Programs and Tenant Coordination teams.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

    • 3+ years of experience in housing or human services.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for working with others.
    • Familiarity with the NYC housing market and voucher system.
    • Excellent verbal, written communication, and negotiation skills.
    • Willingness to travel and conduct multiple community visits.
    • Ability to use public transportation or meet similar travel requirements with reasonable accommodation.
    • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to work in a diverse environment.

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    • Competitive starting salary: $65,000 - $70,000 (dependent on experience)
