About the Program
The Social Enterprise Greenhouse Health and Wellness Initiative connects health and wellness-focused social entrepreneurs with the networks, resources, and knowledge they need to refine their business model, grow strategically, and make positive impact in Rhode Island and beyond. The Health and Wellness Initiative is recognized throughout the RI industry as a resource provider, convener, collaborator and connector.
We seek a collaborative leader will continue this momentum, managing existing programming and network responsibilities, while balancing opportunities in growing the initiative in accordance with organizational strategy. Reporting to the COO, this position will work to, 1) Increase the success rate and impact of Health & Wellness social enterprises; 2) Continue to adapt existing programming activities so they meet the needs of Health & Wellness social enterprises; 3) Grow and sustain the SEG Health and Wellness Initiative in the RI ecosystem.
This is a full-time, Providence based position.
Grow, Improve and Manage Programs: The Health and Wellness Manager will be charged with executing the annual SEG Health and Wellness Accelerator, as well as other programs and services that support Health and Wellness social enterprises. The Manager/Director will collect, and analyze client feedback and make recommendations for new programs and adjustments. The Manager will drive the HW initiative to align with SEG organizational objectives, track initiative activity and report progress to the executive team and Board.
Build and nurture relationships: The Manager will be a relationship builder, recruiting and managing and engaging entrepreneurs, volunteer advisors, and partner/funder organizations in the Health and Wellness Initiative.
Support Fundraising: The Manager will support the executive team in grant writing, individual donor cultivation, and corporate sponsorships to sustain and grow the Health and Wellness initiative.
Grow Visibility and Support Communications: The Manager will collaborate with the communications team to raise visibility of enterprise development programs and SEG as an organization.
Manage Events and Partnerships: The Manager will identify and support program partnerships and sponsorships through Hackathons, events, and other opportunities as appropriate.
Core Skills & Capacities
1. Exuberant passion for social entrepreneurship;
2. 2+ years experience in business/entrepreneurship, preferably with a focus on Health/Wellness industries;
3. Demonstrated success (formal or informal) in recruitment or sales via innate curiosity about others;
4. Works well independently, and collaboratively;
5. Detail-oriented individual who can execute on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment;
6. Will to grow and develop as a leader through new opportunities;
7. Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills.
8. Strong public speaking skills.
Level of Language Proficiency
Preferable, but not necessary: Fluency in Spanish.
