Position Summary

We are seeking an organized, motivated, and enthusiastic professional to join our team as a Program Associate. Youth INC currently serves 80 powerful youth-serving organizations in NYC. From poetry to rugby, mentoring to theater, all of Youth INC’s varied Nonprofit Partners are working to improve the lives of NYC youth. Youth INC’s program team is charged with providing these organizations with the content, coaching, capital, and connections to help them build stronger business practices to accomplish their missions. The Associate will work closely with the Program Team to assist with the coordination and delivery of capacity-building services and support, including:

Primary Responsibilities

o  Generate and manage communications with Nonprofit Partners including weekly newsletters and e-blasts

o  Manage annual Partner Network application process

o  Make updates to, and capture information for, marketing program-related materials

o  Coordinate Executive Director Roundtables

o  Manage logistics of annual events, including nonprofit board fair, Youth INC’s Annual Partner Network Kick-Off, and nonprofit conferences

o  Support coordination for program workshops, seminars, meetings, and events

o  Provide support for special initiatives as they become available to partner nonprofits

o  Maintain current, accurate records of Youth INC’s Partner Network organizations and staff members

o  Track and update program metrics and goals

o  Assist with general office management as needed

Level of Language Proficiency


o  2+ years professional experience in the nonprofit sector, ideally working with youth-serving organizations

o  Bachelor’s degree preferable, although not required

o  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and deadlines

o  Strong writing and editing skills

o  Volunteer experience preferable

o  Excellent interpersonal skills – able to form relationships with diverse groups of people

o  Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with databases desirable

o  Self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously

o  Desire to succeed in a dynamic, demanding, self-driven work place
