About Growald Climate Fund

Growald seeks an experienced grants manager for our fast growing portfolio of world-changing grantees. We are a high-impact venture philanthropy fund catalyzing the rapid transition to a clean energy future. We believe that philanthropy plays a key role in nurturing new climate solutions, supporting a vibrant civil society, and promoting objective research and analysis for use by governments and key NGO and foundation partners. We do that in a couple of ways:

Venture Philanthropy: As a venture philanthropy fund, we incubate, seed, and scale organizations with potential for outsized impact. We are risk-takers hoping to test and support new ideas and initiatives, particularly ones driven by leaders from communities that are traditionally underfunded. As an early leader in venture philanthropy, Growald Family Fund provides not only funding to our grantees but also resources and dedicated staff to support their organizational strengthening and growth. Growald works with these organizations to develop business plans, support organizational health, and identify other funding pathways for long-term growth.

Collective Impact: Growald is a convener and network leader across an international community of philanthropies, think tanks, and civil society organizations. By dedicating time and resources to lead a network of partners, we work towards coordinating resources and knowledge so that the global response to the climate emergency is at the scale of the problem. In fact, our ability to leverage the power of networks goes beyond our network of peer funders. Connecting our grantees to each other has resulted in bright spots and outsized impact when our portfolio grantees collaborate on directed campaigns.
