Administrative Assistant-(Telecommute)

The Administrative Assistant will support the organization in the implementation of development which includes communication, personnel recruitment/engagement, foundation support, marketing, and public relations strategies. They will help manage relationships to increase Tomorrow’s Leaders NYC support from key constituents, including donors and friends, the media, and philanthropic entities of all types. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Executive Director, also works closely with TLNYC staff, board of directors and other organization consultants.

Responsibilities

§ Day to day-Answer phone calls, manage email correspondence, coordinate meetings, attend board meetings and create meeting minutes, filing, inventory management, travel arrangements and calendar management of Executive Director

§ Development-Manage all TLNYC’s donor databases, research projects, and completing fundraising opportunity applications

§ Marketing- Track marketing related items including social media analytical reports, perform social media management, create and update flyers, and other promotional materials such as brochures, business cards, and decks

Public relations- Perform outreach related activities and assist with event planning as needed 


Must currently be seeking an undergraduate degree in Journalism, English, Business Management, Mass Communication, or Non-profit management with 1-2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and social media applications

Strong computer, technical, and administrative skills

Benefits

This position works approximately 15-20 hours per week with one day in the office and two days worked remotely. This position has the opportunity to earn  additional hours on a as-needed basis. Candidates must be available for a minimum of 15 hours/week during a Monday through Friday work week of 10AM-4PM. The final schedule will be set with the Administrative Assistant.
