To help us achieve our mission, we are seeking to identify a leader who will dramatically increase our ability to ensure that Equitas alumni maintain a college going identity and effectively stay on a path towards college graduation. The ideal candidate should not only be a model of our core values, but also a driven, talented leader of alumni students who builds relationships while ensuring we achieve results. 

Alumni Support

  • Design and execute on a strategy to support Equitas alumni in 9 – 12th grade that will ensure that all alumni maintain a college going identity and effectively stay on a path towards college graduation
  • Create and execute a tiered system of support for Equitas alumni that provides a high touch support plan for scholars most at risk of not completing high school or matriculating into college
  • Develop and maintain library of college- and career-planning resources such as university catalogues, scholarship applications, and college entrance exam prep
  • Create and update an online portal to connect alumni with online resources and advising support
  • Design and facilitate opportunities for alumni to support and mentor current students
  • Execute a mentoring program between volunteers and alumni
  • Maintain a communication strategy to engage and inform Equitas alumni

Cultivate Relationships and Event Planning

  • Design and execute on a series of alumni events such as: service opportunities, academic support opportunities, leadership development, and social events designed to cultivate relationships
  • Facilitate opportunities for Equitas alumni to connect with current Equitas scholars 
  • Design and execute a consistent and effective social media strategy for Equitas alumni to maintain connection, communication and engagement 

Achieve Results

  • Maintain accurate alumni data and records in our Salesforce alumni database
  • Execute consistent schedule for an alumni survey to ensure data collection on alumni experience 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep, passionate and action oriented belief in our mission to support all of our scholars to and through college
  • Demonstrated success in leading and planning for events, experience with events required
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with students and adults
  • Solves problems strategically while weighing the advantages and disadvantages of each approach with a network-wide lens
  • Influences others to maintain a college going culture and identity
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with social media outreach a plus
  • Ability to transition quickly from individual, detail oriented projects to collaborative, people-oriented conversations

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 3 years of experience in education, alumni or student affairs
  • Previous teacher, counseling, or advising experience in an urban education preferred  


Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. 

Level of Language Proficiency

Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, but not required
