The Massachusetts Promise Fellowship (MPF) is a full-time AmeriCorps program housed out of the office of City and Community Engagement at Northeastern University. The Program Manager will work as part of the Fellowship staff team to support the work of 40 full-time AmeriCorps members serving statewide, including attending monthly Fellowship meetings and events, and building positive relationships with our Fellows. The Program Manager will oversee several key program areas, including portfolio of community partner sites, evaluation and data collection, community engagement initiatives, and Fellow recruitment. This staff member will lead all elements of MPF’s program evaluation requirements, including Fellow timesheets, monthly reports, surveys, and focus group data and will serve as a thought-partner during external evaluation studies. The Program Manager will also train and support Fellows with completing these requirements as well as analyze and share out annual program data. In addition, the Program Manager will also lead community engagement initiatives for program stakeholders. Finally, the Program Manager will be responsible for leading and managing MPF’s Fellow recruitment initiatives and will serve as a team member of the City and Community Engagement department, while supporting the MPF team in completing other additional responsibilities for the program as needed.

 

Responsibilities

 

Evaluation

·        Lead MPF’s data collection requirements

·        Collect, assess, and compile Fellow and program accomplishment data

·        Disseminate pre and post survey tools, manage collection process, and conduct statistical analysis

·        Track program outcomes progress and ensure compliance with federal funders

·        Complete AmeriCorps required reports

·        Design reports and communications focused on program impact

·        Monitor program compliance focused on member timesheets, reporting, and paperwork 

 

Support Fellows in data collection requirements

·        Lead evaluation and reporting trainings for Fellows and community partner sites

·        Provide ongoing technical assistance to Fellows and community partners on MPF’s evaluation requirements

·        Manage the Fellow service hour tracking system, Fellow monthly reporting, and all program evaluations o Lead External Evaluation with evaluation consultant

 

Lead External Evaluation with evaluation consultant

·        Facilitate all meetings

·        Create and finalize relevant surveys, disseminate to Fellows, and engage in preliminary data cleaning to share with evaluation consultant

 

Fellow Support & Program Management

·        Attend all Fellow meetings, retreats, and events

·        Manage and support a portfolio of 15-17 community partner sites and Fellows through regular check-ins, site visits, and progress reports.

·        Lead 15-17 Fellow site visits annually

·        Serve as a mediator for personnel matters including, conflict management, disputes, and performance management

·        Manage and support all Fellows in successfully completing program requirements o Manage 1-2 Senior Fellows

·        Oversee program work-study students

·        Provide ad hoc trainings for all members on leadership development 

 

Fellow Recruitment

·        Lead MPF’s annual Fellow recruitment efforts to identify and select 40 AmeriCorps Fellows to serve at MPF’s host sites

·        Develop the recruitment strategic process including application, interview, host site and staff material, tracking system and filling positions

·        Ensure compliance with AmeriCorps recruitment standards

·        Conduct information sessions for interested applicants

·        Create annual strategies and systems for recruitment

·        Support Fellow on-boarding process

 

Community Engagement Initiatives

·        Lead a full-scale Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service and Leadership Event in partnership with MPF Host Sites and Members

·        Develop grant process, manage high-level logistics and project completion, market events, and provide on-going support for all projects

 

City & Community Engagement (CCE) Responsibilities

·        Serve as an integral member the CCE team and assist in achieving goals identified by City & Community Engagement

·        Attend regular department meetings

·        Support University events and initiatives through attendance, planning, and coordination

·        Assist in the general operations of CCE

·        Complete other duties as assigned


Qualifications

 

o  BA/BS or equivalent experience

o  A history of exemplary AmeriCorps and national/community service experience

o  3-5 years of relevant work experience

o  Experience supporting and coaching young professionals

o  Advanced organizational skills and strong attention to detail

o  Experience and interest in research and data collection and analysis

o  Knowledge of or interest in principles and practices of evaluation and assessment

o  High level of creativity

o  Mature and professional

o  Team player attitude

o  Excellent time management skills

o  Committed to receiving and providing feedback

o  Strong analytical skills

o  A willingness to learn and take on new challenges

o  Strong passion for and commitment to MPF’s mission of delivering resources to underserved youth and supporting the development of emerging community leaders

o  A great sense of humor
