City Year Baton Rouge is seeking an Impact Manager (IM) who will lead and develop a team of AmeriCorps members (ACMs) as idealistic, emerging leaders and practitioners focused on strengthening schools and supporting students to improve performance. Reporting to an Impact Director and working from a partner school, the IM plays a critical role in implementing City Year’s school-based Whole School Whole Child (WSWC) service model, mission, and practices. The IM is also an effective talent developer who will support AmeriCorps members through a challenging and rewarding year of service.Job Description

Corps and Staff Development
Lead, manage, and coach a team of AmeriCorps members to achieve service performance requirements, meet standards, and reach their leadership development potential. Lead day-today mentoring and support of ACMs, coaching them on foundational competencies and strategies for success. Support a robust Learning and Development calendar for corps, including strategy, analysis and implementation of training plans. Advocate for and invest in your own professional development.
Build and cultivate a strong partnership with teachers, administrators and other key decision makers. Monitor implementation of school partnership agreement and conditions for success. Coach Team Leaders (Senior AmeriCorps members) on organizing and leading culture building activities and trainings within the school building. Work with Impact Director to adapt model when necessary to meet changing conditions and needs. Coach ACMs on how to build school relationships by understanding and meeting teacher needs.
Service Delivery Implementation
Implement a multi-year WSWC support plan that is aligned with site goals and individual school improvement plans, using lead measures to monitor school progress and support school efforts. Work with Impact Director and AmeriCorps member team to customize model to best meet the needs of your service school while maximizing impact. Conduct observation and coaching sessions of AmeriCorps members, providing feedback and suggestion that are also informed by school administration and teacher feedback. Support AmeriCorps members in successfully achieving graduation requirements. Support compliance with AmeriCorps and City Year standards on a team and site level.
