To find out more about our innovative program, come to one of our information sessions: November 7 from 6:30 to 8 PM at the San Francisco Day School or December 4 from 6 to 7:30 PM at St. Paul's Episcopal School, Oakland. ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Bay Area Teacher Training Institute was founded in 2002 and is affiliated with the University of the Pacific (Stockton) Benerd School of Education. In our two year combined Master's and teaching credential program you "learn by doing." You get paid teaching experience at a Bay Area private, public, charter, or parochial school while taking stimulating evening credential theory classes. These are full time assistant teacher positions working side-by-side with a mentor teacher in grades K-8. Salaries at the various schools range from $30,000 to $45,000. We are hoping to bring more diversity to the teaching ranks by bringing in more members of underrepresented minorities, including men.
Candidates will apply for assistant teaching positions beginning in February and the BATTI Director will assist them in finding and securing those jobs. Applications for the credential program are available on our website now. Please see our website for admissions requirements under our "Teaching Credential" program. If you are interested in this unique program you must come to one of our information sessions. Out of town applicants should contact the Director by email at email@example.com.
Please come to one of our information sessions to learn more about BATTI, the application process, and how to get an assistant teaching job at one of over 30 Bay Area elementary schools that begins August 2018. No RSVP is required to attend an information session. The first two information sessions are November 7, from 6:30 to 8 PM at the San Francisco Day School and December 4, from 6 to 7:30 PM at St. Paul's Episcopal School. Please visit our website for more details on the Information Sessions.
