The New 42nd Street seeks a Senior Manager, Institutional Giving to manage all aspects of corporate, foundation and government support for The New Victory Theater, NYC’s premier theater for kids and families, as well as all other New 42nd Street projects. Programs at The New Victory Theater include stage presentations and education, youth employment, and outreach initiatives.
Responsibilities include: solicitation of grants; prospecting of new sources; grant reporting; research; and maintaining systems for tracking gifts. Initiates, supervises and coordinates grant applications and reports, working with a full-time grants manager. Reports to the Vice President, Development.
Requirements: BA and 5-8+ years’ development experience, including knowledge of direct solicitations, fundraising principles and techniques; experience working with corporate, foundation and government funders. Candidate must possess strong written and verbal skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks while achieving goals and responding to deadlines. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google applications needed; knowledge of Tessitura or other development database systems preferred.
