Revolutionary Coworking is a nonprofit shared workspace that holds these truths to be self-evident: that education, economic development, and connectivity will endow our membership with inalienable workspace liberty, foremost among these principles are commitment to people, planet, and the pursuit of happiness.


Located in the heart of historic Downtown Fayetteville, Revolutionary Coworking is the go-to cooperative workspace for micro and small businesses, military, and remote workers. Our six-floor collaborative workspace hosts a diverse group of business and social impact organizations.


Operations Manager, jack-of-all-trades, with a strong emphasis on community building, internal communications, membership development, event planning, and membership retention.


STATS: Position is an average of 20 hours per week. Compensation is $18,000/year with performance-based incentives and compensation. Schedule is flexible but regular business hours are standard. Some nights, weekends, and emergency hours may be required.


Primary focus will be Operations, while minoring in Sales and Hospitality. Your success will be measured on maintaining operational excellence according to monthly membership goals, clean and sustainable facilities guidelines, and mission-driven educational event implementation.

You are a collaborator that builds trust by being a good listener and inclusively soliciting input. Two (2) plus years experience in operations, ideally in hospitality, retail, or project management. Financial literacy and business operations experience are a plus. Excellent interpersonal and networking skills are essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed. You multitask on projects from start to finish. You have a passion for and understanding of entrepreneurial communities.


Connections


  • Support the planning and implementation of educational, professional and personal development events based on mission and membership interest.
  • Provide timely and engaging internal communications (e-newsletter, Slack updates, social media) to build relationships with members and proactively help them achieve their goals.
  • Maintain an effective, consistent new member onboarding process which includes new member orientation, access to systems, communication and technical assistance, and community mission.
  • Recommend best practices to the Board related to your member experience, sales, hospitality, operations, events and training.


Operations

  • Manage and create systems, including ordering and maintaining supplies, food/beverages, concept planning for interior design, and functional communication/signage to ensure the quality and presentation are excellent.
  • Problem solve building access as necessary, member invoicing, mail forwarding, and member directory updates. Conduct quality control walkthroughs to address immediate issues such as shared member refrigerators, storage spaces, and printers, preempt potential future issues and identify areas for improvement when required.
  • Direct other team members and be attentive to Slack communications, emails, and the like to resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring the highest level of member experience.
  • Enforce a level of uncompromising cleanliness, including communicating to cleaners and to the landlord (Self-Help) to ensure cleaning responsibilities are executed daily to the highest standard.
  • Put our stories out on social media for the purpose of member generation, education, and engagement.
  • Review and streamline membership documents, invoicing, and conduct periodic reviews and revisions.
  • Support the Board strategic decision making regarding the operational and financial performance of the coworking space while maintaining consistent email communications with members, contractors, and building landlord re: immediate operational needs.
