The Engagement Lead Account Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting a small dynamic team while liaising with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure there is a fluid coordination and implementation to expand our effort. The role will focus on co-managing a portfolio of our key members and various work streams to help achieve our overarching goal. The key responsibilities include building strategic relationships, optimizing workflow and engagements with our stakeholders, drafting and managing communication materials, and developing and coordinating strategic events.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will need to have a strong work ethic, be flexible and collaborative, and have an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented mindset. The position will be based in New York City. The position is currently entirely remote but is expected to provide for the ability to work remotely with some regularity in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Engagement & Outreach in liaising with our partner organizations to ensure all participants are engaged and aligned with the objectives and deliverables as defined in the plans
  • Build strong relationships with offices of our stakeholders and foster continued engagement
  • Manage information flow and maintain a record of activities to monitor progress according to deadlines  
  • Develop ideas and programming for strategic events to further collaborative work with our stakeholders
  • Collaborate with teammates to assist in developing and preparing materials, including presentations, letters, proposals, memos and meeting minutes
  • Organize and participate on calls/in meetings and assist with follow-up items to ensure continuity of work
  • Conduct research and briefings as needed to curate thought leadership content for Council’s work and meetings
  • Identify appropriate partners, vendors and subcontractors when needed and coordinate logistical details until completion
  • Assist in growing our community and keeping our database up to date.  

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field of study
  • 2-4 years of project management experience and/or supporting multi-stakeholder efforts
  • A background in nonprofits, international business, finance, or public policy is a plus
  • Proven success in working with a variety of stakeholders, particularly with senior leadership
  • Efficient and creative problem-solver
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Professional and effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in working with programs such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce and video conference platforms and comfortable in learning new technologies
  • Proactive and flexible with the ability to work both independently and as a team member in a fast-paced work environment
