Tearfund is looking for an experienced and passionate Transforming Masculinities Advisor - East and Central Africa (ECA) to support the scale up and implementation of Transforming Masculinities intervention and related projects in Mali, Chad, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo and the Central African Republic. This successful person will work closely with the respective countries, cluster programme staff and the Protection and Gender Unit in the Head Office to strengthen the implementation effectiveness and impact of countries rolling out the Transforming Masculinities interventions and projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting capacity development, planning, troubleshooting, adaptation and coaching to programme staff and partners in alignment with the country and cluster teams. 

Successful candidate will have substantial experience, exposure and training on Tearfund's Transforming Masculinities mode and on Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) programming, with strong project cycle management, reporting, budget management, training and facilitation, problem solving and communication skills. This person will also be a great team player, agile and able to be flexible to adapt and adjust to the respective situation and context, and will be a critical thinker with a strong passion and commitment to leading from personal transformation on this area of work. Candidates will have oral and written proficiency in French, with working knowledge of English.

This role will be based in the one of the above countries where the interventions are being rolled out, and will report to the Protection and Gender Unit Lead in the Head Office.
