Description

About Fortify Health

Fortify Health has a vision for a healthier world where everyone has the micronutrients they need to survive and thrive. We work toward this by enabling access to micronutrient-rich wheat flour to reduce and prevent iron deficiency anaemia. We currently have operations in 8 regions across India including: Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi.

Fortify Health operates through three work streams:

  1. Open Market Support: We support millers to cost-neutrally fortify chakki atta in the open market
  2. Government Partnership Support: We work with governments in India to mainstream wheat flour fortification through social safety net programs
  3. Evidence Generation: We conduct monitoring and evaluation of activities to inform the public about the value of food fortification

Position Overview

Fortify Health is looking to add an experienced Senior Manager to its Operations team. Our team has grown rapidly over the last year (from 3 to 8 team members), and the team is likely to grow even more as the organisation scales rapidly. The Senior Manager position is ideal for someone who wants to learn what it takes to lead an Operations department at a fast scaling development sector organisation. The team has grown from 30 team members at the start of 2023 to more than 60 team members currently and we expect to grow to more than 100 team members by June 2025. The Senior Manager of Operations will also have a tremendous opportunity to grow into a Leadership role at Fortify Health.

The focus of this role would be to oversee the day-to-day execution of key tasks across the two key departments of the Operations team (Human Resources and Administration). Here is a brief look at what these teams do at Fortify Health:

  • Human Resources (HR) team - the HR team has three team members right now that manage the work across the entire HR spectrum - this includes Hiring, Performance Management, Contract renewals, Policy Making, Personnel Data Management, and more.
  • Administration team - This team has two members that oversee Vendor Management, Procurement, Travel and Logistics, Event Management, Office Management and more.

Broadly speaking, this role would own time management, task tracking and process implementation across the Operations team to ensure the team is working to deliver outputs efficiently, while also providing their technical expertise to resolve day to day challenges. You will also be line managing the HR and Administration Managers

If you’re a process geek, love building and implementing systems of collaboration, and are naturally very organised - this might be a great fit for you!
