If so, this is the position for you. We want you to succeed and we want to pay you a competitive wage that is in line with your experience. The salary range for this full-time remote role is $71,000-$79,000. Offers are determined based on relevant skills and experience required for the position.

Relationship Builder: Supports the employee benefit experience from start to finish including the benefits information during the new hire orientation and responding to benefit inquiries and status changes. Manages broker relationship for all health and wellness benefits plans. Works closely with the People and Culture Director and COO and advises on current trends, economic conditions, labor market, and related factors. Proposes recommendations for enhancements or improvements required to keep the organizations plans competitive and effective. Manages the Employee Wellness Program with the Director.

Results Oriented: Expert in Benefits Management, Leave Administration, HR Compliance and Compensation. Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information; and perform quality checks of benefits related data. Oversees maintenance of employee benefits files, maintains group benefits database and updates employee payroll records. Documents and maintains procedures for assigned benefits processes.

Organized Contributor: Runs or directs employee enrollment with carriers and process life status changes. Manages time-off policies, administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA. Interprets and integrates FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/ disabilities. Ensures benefits and compensation compliance with applicable government regulations with timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.

Social Justice and Racial Equity Lens: Builds authentic relationships across lines of difference, such as race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, class, ability, gender identity, citizenship status, or other identities. Follows through on commitments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Six plus years of human resources experience including related benefits or employee benefits administration experience. (Experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education)
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  • Effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a high attention to detail and ability to maintain complete confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to work as a team member and interact pleasantly and effectively with other staff and outside vendors.
  • Demonstrable intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. FOE does not sponsor any employment related visas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Ability to critically evaluate circumstances, analyze, and problem-solve
  • A balanced approach to people, process and systems.
  • A desire to learn and to bring creativity and innovation to complex problems.
