As a member of the senior leadership team, the Director of People & Culture is responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive human resources strategy. The Director will partner with the organization’s leadership team and key stakeholders to ensure the development and advancement of an empowered, values-driven workplace culture, and actively plan for, address, and forecast future talent and culture needs inclusive of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and change management initiatives.

Overall, the Director will offer timely, forward-thinking counsel on all issues related to the organization’s use of talent and culture in support of Virginia Supportive Housing’s mission, including Total Rewards and Compliance. They will serve as subject matter expert on all human resource matters.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·        Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent combination of education and business experience.  Master’s degree in related field a plus.

·        10+ years of progressively responsible senior level human resources experience, including leading teams. 

·        Proven experience with strategy, talent management, total rewards and compliance.

·        Must possess high level of professionalism and strong communication skills.

·        SHRM-SCP, SPHR or similar certification desired.

·        Ability to travel to locations throughout the state.
