Job Title: Volunteer Coordinator

Position Summary: At Our Sister's School (OSS) we are seeking a welcoming, self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with very strong people and project management skills to join our team. This individual will be responsible for coordinating the volunteer efforts of our students, families and with their community in meaningful ways, and support work at OSS. The successful candidate will -

· Recruit, interview, train and schedule community volunteers to engage with and support work at OSS.

 · Serve as liaison for OSS volunteers through ongoing communication, cultivation, and support 

· Manage volunteer database and track volunteer hours.community members.

Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage the school’s volunteer network of parents, students and community members - 

· Identify and plan volunteer activities for OSS students, families, and community volunteers to engage

 · Oversee volunteer recognition efforts and events.

 · Maintain manuals and written materials to support the volunteer program.

 · Manage all aspects of Friday clubs.

· Manage summer tutoring: schedule and supervise two 3-hour work windows for tutor/student pairs.

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills: 

· Strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and with others.

 · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and families.

 · Ability to organize volunteers: planning tasks for individuals or small groups to complete.

 · Superior organization and time management skills.

· Proficiency with Google Suite, File Maker, Excel and database management.

 · Experience working with children/youth of different socio-economic & cultural backgrounds
