Anticipated compensation: $52,000 - $59,000 -- commensurate with experience 


Position Overview 

The Assistant Site Director serves as additional support for our OffSITE (Social Impact Tutoring Experience) team in New York City. The Assistant Site Director's primary goal is to manage OffSITE Math Fellows and support student learning through independent practice on a blended learning platform. The Assistant Site Director analyzes student data and collaborates with the Site Director to execute operations for the team. In the event of a short or long term Site Director absence, the Assistant Site Director may assume the role of managing the site in the interim.



Responsibilities 

  • You will manage half of the students each period as they work on the blended learning platform
  • You will monitor student progress and create action plans for struggling students with their Fellow
  • You will assist in creating, adapting, and leading professional development sessions for Fellows 
  • You will attend school specific trainings, meetings, and events to support the partnership
  • You will assist the Site Director in arranging Saga lessons weekly to align with math class curricula
  • You will analyze internal assessment data and develop specific plans to drive student learning 
  • You will meet regularly with the Site Director to discuss progress toward program goals

  • You have the ability/willingness to adapt/“roll-with-it,” and take on new responsibilities as needed

Experience & Qualifications 

  • You have a minimum of 2 years working with high school students (or middle school) 
  • You have an associates degree or higher
  • You are proficient in high school math (through Algebra I/II and Geometry)
  • You possess a drive to seek out feedback and respond to it effectively  
  • You can identify key points and common misconceptions of high school math topics
  • You have lived or work experience in historically underserved communities
  • You act with cultural competency; managing, celebrating, training and collaborating with diverse stakeholders (internal/external)
  • You have the ability to lead training for full Fellow Corps and for individual team
  • You have 2+ years experience teaching high school math preferred but not required
  • You have experience with online math learning platforms preferred but not required
