Position Summary 

The Network Manager will support the cultivation and activation of Skoll Foundation’s global network of social entrepreneurs and social innovators. The network spans Skoll Awardee organizations, funders, private and public sector leaders across the globe.  Reporting to the Director, Network & Partnerships, the Manager will manage and distill network data, operationalize connection strategies, and play a key role in relationship management across the Foundation.  

Newly established, the Network & Partnerships team works across systems and places to help increase access and connections for social innovators. With a portfolio of global and regional partners, the team is on a journey to pursue intersections and identify patterns of impact. By finding and welcoming new leaders into the network, the team aims to help shift power to those with proximity in a system.  

The Network Manager role is highly collaborative, working internally across Foundation programs and externally with a wide spectrum of formal and informal relationships. To be successful, the Manager will thrive in both data and relationship management. The Manager will have experience using data to inform decision making and synthesizing themes across multiple inputs. This person will be empathic, intellectually curious, comfortable with autonomy, humble, and highly organized with top-notch communications and relationship-building skills. This person is animated by the power of connection. 

Responsibilities 

  • Cultivate the Network: Relationship and Knowledge Management 
  • Help shape how the Skoll network, a core asset of the Foundation, can grow with equity, global and racial diversity over time. Support and enable meaningful connections. 
  • Support Direct to operationalize a Foundation-wide relationship management model to support growing volume and diversity of relationships in the network.  
  • Analyze the network to identify investment and programmatic gaps and opportunities.  
  • Support Director to synthesize intelligence gathered from network to increase visibility and learning within network as well as inform Foundation decision making.  


  • Activate the Network: Connect Strategies  
  • Manage the Skoll World Forum Fellowship, a growing network of 200+ global leaders who work in lockstep with local and indigenous communities.  
  • Connect the Skoll network with Foundation initiatives including curating participants and facilitating connections within Skoll convenings, sourcing for Skoll investments, and bridging with Skoll funder allies. 
  • Manage grantmaking and program implementation with network partners, such as TEDx Skoll Conversations and WEF COVID Alliance for Social Entrepreneurs.  


  • Other facets of the role:  
  • Serve as integrated team member with other Skoll Foundation teams on projects. 
  • Represent the Foundation and Network & Partnerships team with external constituencies at meetings/conferences, as speaker and/or attendee. 

Qualifications 

  • Experience with data systems, distilling large data sets, and Salesforce architecture. 
  • Experience in cultivating relationships with diverse stakeholders over time to achieve goals. 
  • Demonstrated international experience with multi-lingual capacity strongly preferred. 
  • Comfort working in ambiguous settings, building buy-in to test and iterate new ideas.  
  • Project management expertise with experience executing multiple concurrent projects on time.  
  • Experience collaborating with external partners to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. 
  • Commitment to understanding and eradicating systemic racial inequity. 
  • Experience conducting outreach and engagement with globally and racially diverse groups. 
  • Available for international travel (~10%, post-pandemic) and willingness to work in flexible workplace environments.
