Family Engagement & Education Manager

The Family Engagement & Education Manager is responsible for overseeing all programs that fall within Full Circle’s family supports pillar of our mission. Programs are subject to change, but currently include parenting education classes and 1:1 parent coaching, family engagement activities, Parent Mentors, and language access work including partnership programs within Lake County School District. In addition to management duties, the Family Engagement & Education Manager may have a program implementation role with adult learning.


Responsibilities include:

Family Support Programs Management

  • Provide coaching and supervision of family support staff (2-4 direct reports)
  • Facilitate regular family supports programs team meetings
  • Host weekly 1:1 check-ins with staff
  • Conduct annual employee reviews/goal-setting with mid-year check in 
  • Conduct observations of program implementation to ensure fidelity of program delivery and to avail a targeted coaching opportunity to family support staff
  • Manage family supports/parenting information dissemination via social media shares and text or email platforms
  • Contribute to design and oversee implementation of a strategic vision for the future of family support program offerings
  • Stay current on parenting curricula and best practices in & resources for parenting/family engagement


Grants Management

  • Ensure collection of (comprehensive and timely) program data according to the evaluation plan and participate in administering program evaluation
  • Maintain strong familiarity with family support programs work plans and evaluation plans
  • Continually assess progress toward family support programs grant goals and support direct service staff in meeting them
  • Serve as grant contact for funders who support Family Support Programs


Community Partnership

  • Participate in relevant committees/coalitions that are directly related to parent education/family engagement 
  • Maintain relationships with community partners
  • Build and maintain relationships with other key stakeholders, as relevant
  • Provide relevant classes and training to partner organizations in support of family support mission


Administration

  • Participate in ongoing professional development
  • Support grant writing/reporting for grants that fund family support programs
  • Contribute bilingual family support content to organization-wide communications plan
  • Other duties, as assigned
  • As available, provide internal translation support for short translations (half a page or less of written content) for other FC programs and/or the organization as a whole, and review outsourced translated materials for accuracy & community relevance.


Program Implementation

  • Provide Spanish-language education to community partners with an aim to incrementally expand inclusion and language access within local agencies
  • Plan and facilitate (or co-plan & co-facilitate) all adult learning opportunities assigned to the Family Engagement & Education Manager in the Family Support Programs Strategy document



Our ideal candidate(s) will have the following attributes: 

Required

- Bilingual fluency in English & Spanish, both speaking and writing

- Leadership skills and a desire to grow a team of professionals

- Experience in family engagement and/or family education

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on a team

- Availability for a 9am-5pm (and occasional weekends) schedule

- Creativity, patience, high energy, and a strong work ethic

- Strong computer skills and office skills

- Willingness to be a strong representative of Full Circle in and out of work

- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Commitment to health and racial equity

Preferred

- Strong understanding of family engagement, particularly with Spanish-speaking families

- Organizational skills

- Strong understanding curricula-based parenting education and supports

- Experience working with grants

- Experience supervising and coaching staff

- Public health/prevention knowledge

Salary

USD 47,000 - USD 56,000Salary range based on the bilingual fluency (Spanish & English) requirement. Starting salary based on experience.
