Turning Point of Lehigh Valley, a non-profit working to eliminate domestic violence in the Lehigh Valley, is expanding it's Legal Advocacy program and seeking an energetic, self-motivated professional to fill its Legal Advocacy Director position. This is an exempt, full-time position in the low $40k's. Perfect for a mission-oriented self-motivated individual who flourishes in ever changing situations. This candidate should have non profit experience, strong communication skills, independent thinking and a commitment to furthering the Mission of Turning Point. 

The Legal Advocacy Director is a supervisory position responsible for the oversight and coordination of the provision of criminal and civil legal advocacy and accompaniment services by Turning Point for victims of domestic violence. The Legal Advocacy Director position requires initiative and independent judgement and will research best practices and provide recommendations to improve services, provide systems advocacy and education, and collaborate with other community agencies to promote the mission of Turning Point.

The Legal Advocacy Director will have a minimum of three years of work experience, which includes casework, counseling, justice systems, and/or victim’s services experience. A minimum of two years supervisory experience is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in social services , criminal justice or legal systems is preferred. Preferred candidates will be bilingual in Spanish and English.
