Who we are?
Ethical Culture Fieldston School is a progressive PreK-12 independent school that has been serving students from throughout New York City and the surrounding suburbs since 1878. ECFS offers a rich curriculum in the arts, sciences, and humanities. A co-ed, nonsectarian school, it serves a diverse community of about 1,700 students on two campuses -- one in the Riverdale section of the Bronx and the other in Manhattan. Ethical Culture School, located on the Upper West Side at 63rd Street and Central Park West, is comprised of approximately 450 students Pre-K through 5th Grade and 80 faculty members.

Ethical Culture Fieldston Middle After School program is currently looking for is currently looking for a WE Club Advisor. The WE Club is a unique service-learning program that will inspire young people to identify the local and global issues that spark their passion and empower them. The club will provide them with the skills and tools to take local and global action on issues facing our world today. The WE Advisor takes lead from the WE organization and facilitate service learning related activities to drive student outcomes beyond the club. The responsibilities of WE Club advisor are but not limited to:
- Facilitate students to work closely with school faculty and local community partners to develop excellent service opportunities for all middle school students
- Be very creative in their efforts to create initiatives and activities around volunteerism
- Implement a sustainable plan to expand Service-Learning knowledge and participation
- Chaperone and handle logistics for WE Day on September 26 at the Barclay Center
- A Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- The instructor must have experience working with middle school students and 1-2 years experience managing service learning programs
The club meets Tuesdays at 3:15 - 5:15 p.m. The instructor must be available during these times for the period of employment.
