We are looking for someone based in the greater Puget Sound region. This role is remote now and after COVID.

IGNITE Worldwide (Inspiring Girls Now In Technology Evolution) is on a mission to ensure all girls and non-binary youth are educated about their career choices in STEM and are inspired to pursue financial independence in their futures. 

We are looking for a motivated and technologically-savvy Communications Manager to join our small but mighty team. In this position, you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of IGNITE Worldwide’s communications and marketing, including email blasts, social media, digital content creation (graphics, videos, and flyers), internal communications, and updates to the website. In addition to communications, this position handles some administrative and IT functions. The Communications Manager will work with and report to the CEO and Founder. 


  • Be the go-to technology person for our team.
  • Design and update marketing materials and documents in support of IGNITE programs and fundraising campaigns
  • Edit and produce promotional videos in Premiere Pro and Canva
  • Consistently post to, analyze, and monitor all IGNITE Worldwide social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Write, proofread, and publish e-newsletters, board updates, announcements, and other communications materials.
  • Maintain an organized internal filing system in Google Drive
  • Prepare slide decks and agendas for meetings
  • Assist CEO & Founder with internal communications and scheduling
  • Manage and update the IGNITE Worldwide website regularly to ensure information is current and troubleshoot as needed
  • Support the communication and marketing of the annual IGNITE Worldwide gala fundraiser
  • Reply to general contact inquiries
  • Provide technical assistance to other staff members and manage IGNITE Worldwide’s technology platforms
  • Complete other tasks as assigned


  • Skilled at:
  • Wordpress (Elementor)
  • Google Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Analytics, Ads, Admin)
  • Canva
  • Adobe Suite (mainly InDesign and Premiere Pro)
  • Buffer
  • Social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube)
  • Constant Contact
  • Give Lively or equivalent donor platform
  • Auctria
  • Salesforce
  • Outstanding communication skills, including proofreading and copywriting
  • Skilled at project management with the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Experienced in graphic design and video editing
  • Excellent technology skills and quick to learn new technology platforms
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges and projects
  • Ability to support and anticipate needs of fast-paced, executive leadership
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Maturity and professional judgement
  • Meticulous organizational skills 
  • Experience managing and growing engagement and followings on social media
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • A positive and empathetic attitude
