The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center (MSAHC) has an opening for a Mental Health Intake Coordinator to join its collaborative, integrated mental health team. MSAHC is a unique, New York City-based program that delivers comprehensive, integrated medical and mental health services and prevention education to young people aged 10 to 24. At the MSAHC, young people can find a wide range of services specially designed for their needs, including: primary health care, sexual and reproductive health, counseling, support, mental health and family therapy, comprehensive psychological testing, dental care, optical services, legal services, nutrition, fitness, and wellness programs.

Responsibilities Include:


Screening call request for therapy and other mental health services

  • Schedule intake appointments throughout the week
  • Providing individuals with information regarding services at MSAHC
  • Providing individuals with mental health resources
  • Collaborating with staff in coordinating mental health care and scheduling of new patients
  • Meeting directly with families to complete paperwork upon intake 
  • Reminder calls to new patients regarding scheduled appointments
  • Creating new patient profiles into electronic medical record system for intakes


      Experience working in a mental health or medical setting serving adolescents

·        Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

·        Professional phone etiquette

·        Excellent verbal/written communication skills

·        Ability to multi-task efficiently

·        Perform administrative responsibilities

·        High level organization

·        Knowledge of mental health resources

·        Experience in working with electronic medical records

·        Available at 8.30AM or earlier
