CommonLit is a nonprofit edtech startup dedicated to closing the achievement gap for low-income students and students of color in grades 3-12. We operate an online reading program for grades 3-12, www.CommonLit.org, that is used by over 4 million teachers and students each month.

Since 2015, CommonLit has offered a free online reading program to students and teachers. CommonLit’s reading program has become widely implemented in schools and districts across the United States. Since 2017, CommonLit’s School Partnerships Team has also sold assessments, professional development services, data tracking tools, and more to schools and districts who are looking to seamlessly and effectively roll out CommonLit’s digital literacy program to their teachers.

In this role, the Elementary ELA Partnerships Development Associate will focus on marketing CommonLit’s digital curricula and technology tools to elementary school teachers and administrators. We are looking for a candidate with strong writing and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and a hunger to learn quickly. This is an entry-level position in a fast-growing organization that offers many opportunities for professional and compensation growth. We expect this person to start in the early fall of 2021.

  • Develop relationships with school and district leaders
  • Collaborate on and strategize marketing efforts (email, social media, blog writing, newsletter, etc.)
  • Effectively utilize software tools such as Salesforce, Slack, Medium, Zoom, GSuite, etc. to expedite the sales process
