WHO WE ARE:

Founded in 2018, Rideshare Drivers United-CA is a driver-led organization fighting for fair pay and respect for our profession. We are leaders in a national and international movement to achieve basic labor rights for all Gig-workers. We believe that by building real worker power through grassroots organizing and campaigning, and by developing driver leadership for our movement, we can win the right to organize our own union, as well as achieve real advances to drivers' work-lives and income, while raising the bar for all workers.  [ www.drivers-united.org ]

You will be supervised by the RDU President, and work closely with the Board of Directors, member leadership, key staff, and volunteers. While much of the day-to-day operations can be done remotely, candidates must be located in the greater Los Angeles or Bay Area to participate in in-person events and organizing, and at times, staff our offices.

  • Opportunities for growth in other areas of the organization as campaigns develop.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of 2 years of union or other campaign experience;
  • Experience drafting and executing events, including Phone Banking, Meetings, and Public Demonstrations;
  • Experience in developing a diverse volunteer & staff team; developing leadership in a member-led organization;
