Campaign Assistant

Soroptimist International of the Americas (SIA) is seeking a part-time Campaign Assistant from July 2021 through August 2023. Responsible for administrative support for the capital campaign; supports recognition, gift and pledge data entry, donor relations, research, and major gifts functions of the campaign.


*This position will be required to work approximately 8 hours a week at SIA’s office in Center City Philadelphia. SIA follows city of Philadelphia guidelines for safe in-office work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Remaining office hours can be worked remotely.


PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the campaign’s administrative needs, including translation requests, ordering supplies and recognition products, etc.;
  • Performs data-entry and tracks pledges made to campaign; updates and corrects donor records as necessary;
  • Fulfills ongoing recognition needs including managing recognition lists and packaging orders


SECONDARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops presentations and other marketing pieces in PowerPoint or other design programs
  • Researches prospective donors;
  • Prepares for campaign and prospect meetings including gathering collateral materials, scheduling meetings and travel for development team members;
  • Assists in coordinating campaign projects for SIA’s biennial convention;
  • Aids in creating online fundraising resources for clubs;
  • Provides support to campaign committee members, fund development staff and volunteers;
  • Other duties as assigned. 


EDUCATION/SKILLS

Required:

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum 2 years of office experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft applications.
  • Fundraising database experience – data entry, donor record best practices, report extraction (iMis experience preferred, or work in similar customer relations management software, ex. Raiser’s Edge, Donor Perfect, Salesforce).
  • Demonstrated initiative.
  • Effective organization, prioritization and time management skills.
  • Effective planning, research, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Discretion and sensitivity in handling confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in diverse groups.
  • Passion for the Soroptimist mission and interest in women’s issues.

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience providing administrative support in a non-profit development department.
  • Fundraising database experience – data entry, donor record best practices, report extraction (iMis experience preferred, or work in similar customer relations management software, ex. Raiser’s Edge, Donor Perfect, Salesforce).
  • Experience working with a multi-year fundraising campaign.
  • Detail oriented, eye for accuracy, and time sensitive.
  • Global exposure and/or experience.
