TITLE: Swim Coach/ Aquatics Programming Assistant

PERFORMANCE PROFILE SOURCE: Youth Development Professional

REPORTS TO: Aquatics Coordinator

Position Summary:

Qualified candidates will have experience teaching and coaching youth swimmers.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

·       Create an educational, safe and inviting experience for all participants

·       Develop, and maintain positive relationships with youth and parents

·       Help recruit and retain swim team participants

·       Assist in maintaining a safe, clean and organized pool area

·       Ensure proper use of supplies and equipment

·       Create plans and workout templates for each season

·       Enter swimmers’ information into tracking software

·       Attend regular league coaches’ meetings

·       Positively represent the Club at all swim meets

·       Follow and enforce all Boys & Girls Club policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Complete incident and accident reports as necessary

·       Complete regular administrative duties


·       Swim team coaching experience

·       Swim lesson instruction experience

Licenses / Certifications

·       Lifeguard certified

·       CPR/AED/First Aid certified

·       USA Swimming Certification preferred

·       Driver’s license and clean driving record

Other Qualifications

·       Exceptional written and verbal skills

·       High energy

·       Ability to work with youth and families from diverse backgrounds

·       Basic computer skills
