    Orbis is looking for a Corporate Partnerships Director to join their team to build and grow our Corporate Partnerships fundraising program.

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Director, Corporate Partnerships sets the direction and leads diversification and growth of Orbis International’s corporate partnerships to meet revenue goals. This role oversees donor identification, pipeline development, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors as well as delivery of innovative proposals, strategic partnerships, and compliance with all donor requirements and reporting.

    The Director oversees existing corporate partnerships and cultivates new ones targeting large blue-chip companies and mid-size enterprises across various functions including employee giving, cause marketing, shared value partnerships, CSR, and cash donations to meet Orbis’s revenue goals. The immediate objectives are as follows: Develop a growth strategy and build a robust pipeline of corporate partners and ensure systematic identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of our partners and prospects to ultimately increase the level of corporate revenue.

    REPORTING & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

    The Director, Corporate Partnerships reports to the Sr. Director, Institutional Giving and works closely with Foundations and Major Gifts, senior leaders, and key stakeholders, including the Chief Development Officer, CEO/President, and Orbis Board to facilitate corporate partnership outreach and cultivation efforts.

    The Director supervises the Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships, and indirectly oversees the Officer, Corporate Partnerships. They also, alongside the Sr. Director, Institutional Giving, work with the country teams to identify and manage funding submissions on identified opportunities, increasing program impact and support.

    As the lead for corporate fundraising, and serving as a global ambassador of Orbis, the Director will foster internal and external relationships with Orbis colleagues, fellow fundraising professionals, and other key contacts and supporters around the world, as well as Orbis donors and partners.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

    The Director, Corporate Partnerships will grow the current portfolio of approximately $3 million USD, focusing on unrestricted giving.

    • Strategy & Vision: In alignment with Orbis’s Global Strategic Plan (GSP) and other efforts, deliver a long-term growth strategy for corporate partnerships to acquire and retain corporate donors, focusing on securing unrestricted support. In collaboration with Prospect Research, qualify and clear prospects. Develop and implement a donor engagement strategy and tactics for corporate donors with multiple touchpoints to grow support from current donors and prospects. Develop strong engagement with the corporate sector by demonstrating leadership, inspiration and accountability for Orbis International’s corporate program.
    • Cultivation and Stewardship: Develop and implement cultivation and stewardship plans to manage and grow Orbis’s International’s portfolio of corporate partners; plan, direct and contribute to the implementation of all aspects of corporate cultivation and partnership events.
    • Budget Forecasting: Formulate and closely monitor the corporate budget, ensuring that revenue and expense targets are met. Monitor and understand regular corporate revenue tracking reports including assessments around variance trends. In partnership with Research & Analytics, develop and drive file analytics.
    • Leadership and Supervision. Lead and manage the corporate partnerships team; supervise and mentor the Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships; foster a collaborative, productive work environment and provide regular and meaningful performance feedback. Lead by example and foster a culture of collaboration, partnership, trust, and timely communication.
    • Intra-Orbis Collaboration. Manage Corporate Donor program expectations, provide support and share best practices for corporate fundraising with global offices. Contribute to the implementation of organization-wide fundraising events. Collaborate with colleagues on local and global projects and initiatives as appropriate.
    • Communications. Collaborate with Global Communications & Marketing department on development of collateral pieces including newsletters, annual reports, brochures and other materials, as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree required; knowledge of international public health, global health, humanitarian, and/or development world, demonstrating a nuanced understanding of complexities and challenges within the global health landscape preferred.
    • Minimum 15 years of progressive work experience, preferably in a non-profit fundraising environment focused on corporate donors, with a proven track record of securing donations of $1Million+ essential.
    • Demonstrated success in building and scaling pipelines to address both immediate and long-term organizational needs.
    • Strategic thinker with demonstrated capacity to comprehend and leverage data to drive business decisions
    • Demonstrated success in effectively leading and managing complex proposal teams
    • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills demonstrating excellent judgment and diplomacy: ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of professionals in in writing, virtually, and in person; works effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
    • Guides with a strong leadership vision, demonstrating exceptional managerial, facilitation, and collaboration skills, coupled with expert negotiation abilities to foster effective teamwork
    • Availability for 10-15% travel to support and enhance organizational initiatives and partnerships.

    LOCATION

    This role is based in the US, with the option to work remotely or be assigned to the Orbis NY office. For those who prefer to work in an office setting, our NYC office has temporary and permanent desk solutions for employees already local to NYC that can accommodate those preferences. Access to other Orbis offices may be provided.
