Consumer Care Specialist
ACES$ Financial Management Services is a part of the Northeast Pennsylvania Center for Independent Living. ACES$ provides payroll services for persons with disabilities requiring attendant care in five states throughout the U.S. Reporting to the Consumer Care Manager, the Consumer Care Specialist is responsible to provide customer service for consumers on a variety of Medicaid waiver programs. The successful candidate will provide phone assistance to consumers and respond to inquiries related to Fiscal/Employer Agent (F/EA) services for new and existing consumers.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Associates or Bachelors in related field preferred
A minimum of 5 years administrative experience, preferably in a non-profit or social service environment
Customer service experience is preferred
SPECIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Strong organizational skills
Positive interpersonal skills
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB:
Percent of Time ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:
75% Receive incoming calls for the department and handle in an efficient and courteous manner. Provide daily administrative support for the department. Participate in consumer service phone queue. Accountable for maintaining 95% or higher call retrieval rate.
20% Input consumer case notes information into computer database, every time contact is made. This activity is performed for quality control and reporting requirements of the program.
5% Other administrative duties, as necessary.

Sedentary work: duties require exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally (10-33% of time) and/or a minute amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, and pull items such as files. May involve bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting on occasion.
