WHOM WE SEEK

We seek a strategic, analytical content creation specialist to develop thought leadership and donor education content by leveraging institutional knowledge, client services and internal and external partnerships. The qualified candidate should demonstrate commitment to RPA’s values of integrity, diversity, quality and trust.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Thought Leadership Specialist will develop research-based articles, publications and other donor-focused resources that further RPA’s mission to advance thoughtful and effective philanthropy throughout the world as detailed by the following responsibilities:

+ Identify opportunities for research with and about target audiences to advance RPA’s role as a thought leader in the philanthropic space

+ Craft targeted, compelling content including for the philanthropic and related ecosystem

+ Provide research support for client activities, speaking engagements and client proposals, across the organization’s lines of services and offices

+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging topics, trends and innovations in philanthropy

+ Assist in engaging RPA’s internal thought leaders and partners

+ Support additional client-centric and communications team initiatives as needed

+ Collaborate to drive ongoing stakeholder engagement with partner organizations, research institutions, internal departments in furtherance of developing RPA thought leadership and other content.

+ Attend and participate in relevant external convenings

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: BA/BS required

+ 4+ years of related experience

+ A high level of professionalism and enthusiasm for teamwork; dedication to diversity, integrity, transparency, and quality

+ Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication, and organizational skills

+ A proactive, positive, solutions-oriented approach

+ Adept and proficient writer with an ability to craft customized, compelling content for different audiences

+ A broad and global perspective and intellectual curiosity

+ Ability to fluidly move between different types of content and audiences, as well as between collaborative and independent work styles

+ Ability to thrive in and navigate through ambiguity

+ Ability to effectively work on multiple projects concurrently

+ Exceptional attention to detail

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office

+ Experience using a CRM desired

+ Knowledge of and commitment to the nonprofit and philanthropic sector is a plus
