Position: Project Director                          Start Date: May 1st, 2021

Salary: $1,000/month for up to 12 months. This is a 1099 contract.

Hours: 40 hours per month, potential nights/weekends dependent on events

Reports to: President (Direct) and Executive Board

About CVLGBTQ+: The Chippewa Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located downtown in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and serves the tri-county area of Chippewa, Eau Claire, and Dunn counties. We aim to provide services and create educational programs that promote well-being and unity within & among the LGBTQ+ community. We work to promote understanding, tolerance, and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community and of individuals within that community in the Chippewa Valley region.

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated individual who will help grow our organization by aiding in grant writing, fundraising, and office management. This individual must have a heart for LGBTQ+ advocacy and experience in volunteerism and/or nonprofit work. This is a part-time 1099 contract position at 40 hours per month.

Essential Job Functions:

-         Grant Writing

-         Fundraising

-         Office Management

-         Coordinating the lending library and newsletter

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (must be 18 years old)

Experience Requirements:

-         Required: experience in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; LGBTQ+ advocacy

-         Preferred: office management, nonprofit or volunteer work, and grant writing and fundraising

Physical Environment: The hired individual is expected to work all 40 hours/month in-person at the Chippewa Valley LGBTQ+ located at 505 Dewey Street South, Eau Claire, WI. We have COVID precautions in place and visitors are only allowed by appointment only.
