Sidwell Friends School, a PK-12, co-educational Quaker day school with campuses in Washington, D.C., and Bethesda, Maryland, seeks a Gift Processing Coordinator for its School Advancement Office.
This full-time, 12 month position reports directly to the Director of Development for Annual Giving and Leadership. The Gift Processing Coordinator has primary responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of all gift data in the department’s database, and is responsible for ensuring correct and timely processing and receipt of all donations. This responsibility includes recording gifts on a daily basis, producing gift receipts/acknowledgment letters, and generating gift reports for the Business Office and Advancement colleagues.
A bachelor’s degree is required. Two to four years of experience in gift processing is a plus. The candidate should have a working knowledge of constituent relationship management systems and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook). Excellent organization, analytical skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously to meet short deadlines is essential. Finally, the candidate should possess a “hands-on” approach, especially during peak periods.
