GRANTS AND CONTRACTS MANAGER

Position Description

The Grants and Contracts Manager is responsible for assisting Living Classrooms' Project SERVE with all necessary duties related to the oversight of grants and contracts and overall office management. In general, this includes generating revenue via invoicing, managing RFPs, or RFBs, tracking all program expenses, completing progress and financial reports for funders, and reporting program updates to management. The Grants and Contracts Manager reports to the Director of Project SERVE.


• Must obtain an in-depth knowledge of each grant; keeping track of all reporting requirements, report due dates, amounts awarded, timeframe for grants, budgets, staff and crew positions that are being funded

• Accurately code expenses and salaries properly and in-line with program/grant budgets

• Tracking all expenses and making sure they are in line with grant and budget plans

• Process timesheets accurately and timely

• Completing grant reports or assisting development w/completion of reports on time

• Assisting with proposals and bid submissions

• Assisting Accounting with monthly or quarterly invoices

• Invoicing and reporting for work contracts

• Prepare quarterly reports for Board meetings, and monthly job training reports

• Purchase program supplies and order uniforms

• Process member files and submit proper forms to Human Resources when there are terminations, suspensions, graduations. component transfers

• Track all credit card expenses and submitting accurate statements to Accounting

• Processing purchase orders, coding expenses properly

• Maintain cell phones inventory

• Supervise the Administrative Assistant

• Other duties as required


Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field, preferred

• A minimum of two years of experience with grants and contracts administration and management, OR

• Any similar combination of education and experience.

• Experience with fiscal management and financial systems, staff management and development

• Experience in a non-profit organization is preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite

• Driven to attain measurable results

• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
