Coding/STEM Educator
We envision a world where all children have an equal opportunity to ignite their curiosity through coding. We All Code is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to sparking curiosity in coding among kids aged 7 to 17, with a particular focus on girls, students of color, and underserved students. Our mission is to introduce a diverse group of children to the fun of coding by providing free educational resources and hands-on classes.
The Coding/STEM Educator is a key member of the We All Code staff and is integral in the growth and maintenance of the organization. The Educator will be responsible for implementing and teaching various STEM curricula to 7-17 year olds both virtually and, when it is safe, in-person in Chicago. They will help We All Code design and teach computer science, coding, robotics, and engineering to students who, without our classes, would not have access to high-quality STEM programming. The Educator will have the knowledge and passion to write additional curricula for classes. They will have a desire to expose Chicago’s youth to the opportunities and careers that exist within the STEM fields.
The ideal candidate is familiar with coding languages and the STEM field, passionate about education, and excited to inspire students to learn STEM. They must be eager, energized, and motivated by We All Code's mission.
This position is contracted part-time with the possibility of being full time in the future. Expected 15 to 20 hours a week.
