The Bridge, an innovative and well respected mental health agency serving adults with serious mental illness, substance abuse, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and co-morbid medical conditions is seeking a Leasing Specialist to join its Residential Services department.

Scope of Position:

  • Responsible for tracking and processing the renewal of all master leases for scatter site apartments
  • Manage repair requests for scatter site apartments
  • Coordinate with landlords and management companies to ensure completion of all repairs
  • Assist with the annual tenant recertification process for HUD and tax credit apartments
  • Perform accurate rent calculation for tenants’ monthly rent as per funder guidelines
  • Using property management software to coordinate all aspects of the HUD rental process
  • Using property management software to coordinate all aspects of the LITCH process for initial and annual certifications
  • Assist program staff with documentation required for applying for rental arrears assistance for delinquent tenants
  • Attend internal and external meetings, supervision and trainings as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Qualifications:

  • Some college preferred, tax credit and HUD certifications a plus
  • Previous experience in property management in a social service setting, experience working in mental health settings
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Must be a team player who is stress resistant, flexible and open to feedback
  • Experience with One Site property management, MS Excel and knowledge of AWARDS. Spanish speaking a plus
  • COVID vaccination is required for employment
